Project no.8 Veracité: restaurant

My project outcome is a bar/restaurant space focused on lighting and a black-and-white interior, using coloured lighting to enhance the monochromatic design. Inspired by traditional French and mime aesthetics, it reimagines black and white as a modern, geometric, and contemporary space, reflecting the brand Veracité (“truth”) through a minimal palette.

Influenced by Stephane Rolland’s focus on movement and form, the design includes a female silhouette and dove formed from smoke, symbolising trust and fluidity. The smoke concept is also integrated into the experience, with drinks revealed through dry ice effects, creating a sense of liberation and theatre. This is contrasted with Kintsugi-inspired brass marble textures, representing resilience, imperfection, and beauty in repair.

Sustainability remains central, aiming to combine luxury dining with environmentally conscious design while promoting a more responsible and forward-thinking approach.
