Project no.7: Titanic sea city museum: Ergonomics
The "compositional moment" concept in my café interior space would be creating an environment that highlights and enhances certain experiences or interactions. This concept encourages significant thoughts, and relationships among users. My zoning will be an important feature that establishes discrete places for diverse tasks such as relaxation, socialising, and ensuring that each zone supports unique experiences such as a cosy reading or a private nook or a community gathering space.
Primarily, this concepts story is that time is the only thing on the planet that does not stop even if everything else does. This can bring significance and illustrate the earths history, and this could bring in titanic, and linking titanic slightly within this concept along with the importance of comfort and functionality within the space.
Furthermore, a range of materials and textures improve sensory experiences by allowing for tactile exploration through the use of soft linens, natural woods, and polished surfaces. Thoughtful lighting design enhances a dynamic ambiance by spotlighting certain regions in my design or features at different times, and layered lighting creates ambience, and the task, and accent allows mood alterations at different times. Finally, creating pathways that stimulate exploration may result in exciting moments of discovery, with possible curving walkways or even curved biophilic furniture or lighting aspects and carefully placed furniture directing visitors around the room, which links in perfectly with the ergonomic factor of my project.
By combining these aspects, the compositional moment idea turns interior spaces into places that meet practical demands while improving the lives of individuals who enter them, establishing relationships and memories via carefully designed moments.
